Throughout the month of November, the children in School-age 3 have been working hard on their annual drawing competition. This year, the project was a collaborative effort: the group chose a theme together, and each child selected a subject that sparked their interest, developing their ideas in creative and unique ways.
Nora chose to incorporate paint into her artwork, adding texture and vibrancy to her drawing. With the support of Cristina and Kelsey—who helped print out reference images—the children were able to explore their ideas more deeply. Zain selected something he truly loves and took his time bringing his vision to life. He carefully cut out his drawing and used construction paper to add more colour and create a detailed background. John also cut out his drawing and designed a background, proudly explaining, “Mine is a space theme, and the black construction paper is the universe in space.”
Alicia chose to draw a cabin. She followed her reference image closely, focusing intently on replicating the details. Using pencil crayons, she added shading and carefully matched the colour scheme to the original, demonstrating great concentration and effort.
All the children put tremendous creativity and dedication into their drawings, and the winners will be announced soon. Excellent work, Group 3!
