Job Summary

The Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) collaborates closely with all other members of the program team to provide nurturing play-based early learning to support each child in realizing their potential while giving families peace of mind.

Job duties are performed in accordance with RisingOaks’ Program Statement, policies, values and beliefs, the Child Care and Early Years Act and the College of ECEs Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, under the supervision of the Centre Supervisor.

Working with RisingOaks Early Learning

Your total compensation package will include your hourly wage, PWEG, reimbursement of professional regulator (RECE membership; if applicable), paid well-being days, RRSP matching program and a comprehensive benefitsprogram. In addition to vacation entitlement, we have a paid Christmas closure.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Early Childhood Education Diploma (Preferred)
• Registered member of the College of ECEs in good standing (Preferred)
• Practicum experience in a child care setting gained through post-secondary program or equivalent
• StandardFirstAid and CPR (level C) training

Required Knowledge

• Demonstrated knowledgeof domains of childhood development
• Knowledge of the Child Care & Early Years Act, its regulations, and licensing 
• Demonstrated understanding of How Does Learning Happen?, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early 
• Knowledge of curriculum theories, observation and documentation techniques
• Knowledge of adiversity of family contexts and the impact these have on our work with

Compensation

• $27.09 - $32.50 paid hourly
• Estimated annual salary, based on 37.5 hours per week would be $52,825.00 - $63,375.00 per annum
• Inaddition to base salary, eligible employees receive a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant (PWEG of up to $2/hour for in-ratio hours based on the terms and conditions outlined by the Ministry of Education

Days and Hours

• Float (Program room is flexible based on the daily needs of the centre)
• 9:30 – 6:00 (shift is flexible based on daily needs of the centre)
• Access to reliable transportation is an asset as float staff must be available to travel to different locations based on needs of organization
• 37.5 hours per week with flexibility as required Occasional evening (e.g., staff meeting) 
• This is a Full Time Temporary RECE position from November 23, 2026 to Friday, November 19, 2027

Casual Employee/Educator (CE) 

RECE or Non-RECE are invited to apply.

Hourly Wage:  $22.93 - $26.71 per hour 

In addition to the wage listed above, eligible employees receive a Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant (PWEG) of up to $2/hour for in-ratio hours based on the terms and conditions outlined by the Ministry of Education.

Job Summary:

• To provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children enrolled with RisingOaks Early Learning Ontario.
• To support the planning and implementation of a program that will meet the developmental, social, emotional and physical needs of each child.
• To form and maintain a positive relationships with parents, co-workers, student teachers and professionals from other organizations.
• To maintain a high standard of care following RisingOaks' policies and procedures and the Child Care & Early Years Act regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age and older
• A clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required
• Must have a valid Standard First Aid/CPR certificate
• Be willing to travel to multiple RisingOaks' centres for work
• Comfortable working with various groups of children from birth to age 12.
• An Early Childhood Education diploma is preferred. Other work with children will be considered.
