This month, the children participated in a water exploration activity. They were invited to investigate water using a variety of materials and tools, including pom-poms, funnels, pipettes, and cotton balls. The children eagerly experimented with how different objects interacted with water. They observed which materials absorbed water, which floated, and how water moved through funnels and pipettes. Using the pipettes, the children carefully squeezed and released water, strengthening their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. As the play continued, the children shared their observations and predictions with one another. They demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills as they explored different ways to transfer and manipulate water. To extend the learning experience, soap and food colouring were added to the water. The children were excited to observe the changes that occurred and eagerly experimented with mixing different colours. They also created bubbles and explored how the coloured water moved through the funnels and pipettes. Throughout the activity, the children worked cooperatively, taking turns with materials and sharing their discoveries. This experience encouraged scientific inquiry, sensory exploration, creativity, and language development while promoting cooperation and communication among peers.
