The Toddler Camera Project started with a “Cheese”.  For days the toddlers walked around using different toys pretending to take photos of each other and saying “Cheese”.

Through observations, the children have demonstrated what they know about cameras:

  • They know to say, “cheese” when a camera is present.
  • They need to press buttons to make it work.
  • They realize there will be an image on the screen (with new cameras) once an educator is done taking a photo.
  • They know to be careful with cameras.
