Today, the toddlers helped make pickles! 🥒 All summer long, we have been growing and harvesting cucumbers from our garden, and today we turned our fresh cucumbers into a delicious snack.
First, we prepared our pickle mixture using vinegar, salt, sugar, dill, and garlic. Then, we sliced the cucumbers into chips. The children were invited to help add the cucumber slices to the bowl of our mixture.
Patrick enjoyed adding the dill, while Leona, Clark, and Eva were excited to add the cucumber slices. Each child had the opportunity to participate, explore the ingredients, and contribute to our group experience.
Together, we worked as a team to make our pickles! Once everything was in the container, Clark helped give it a good shake to make sure all the cucumber pieces were coated in our delicious mixture. What a helpful job!
It was wonderful to see the toddlers working together, taking turns, and proudly contributing to something we could all enjoy. We can’t wait to taste our homemade pickles! 🥒
