Fall in Preschool 2

Preschool 2

As fall has begun to change the world around us, our Preschool friends began noticing that the leaves were getting yellow, orange and red. There were lots of leaves falling in our playground, and friends were so excited to pick them up and take them back to our classroom. We began to compare the leaves and noticed that not only were they different colours, but also found that they were in different shapes too! After spending time inspecting the leaves, we decided to paint our own leaves as an art activity. We taped bubble wrap on to cups and used different colours of paint to create our very own leaf artwork.

When the seasons begin to change, the children are often curious about the differences in the world around them, including our playground. The educators in Preschool 2 will be using the environment as the third teacher to help children with their cognitive skills as they take in more of the changes around them. We will also try introducing different tools to do painting with to enhance our creativity!

We would love to extend learning by collecting more natural materials for our classroom. We will continue to learn from the world around us and enhance our knowledge of the world around us as we move from season to season!
