Mom and Dad because the weather has been like summer, this fall our educators are noticing that we are still having vegetables grow on our plants! So, we went out to the garden to pick a fall harvest. We gathered one zucchini, four large tomatoes and a lot of cherry tomatoes. Picking the little tomatoes builds on our fine motor skills, as our little hands grasp around the fruit. Large muscles come into play as we pull the fruit off the vine. Our sense of taste was heightened as we ate the tomatoes right off the vine and gathered for some more at the picnic table. As our exploration continued the sensory bin was discovered where we played in the water, splashing and laughing as we got ourselves and each other wet. Can’t wait to see what is going to happen next month in our learning journey. Hope you continue to follow along.
